Bob Carter

Bob Carter’s caseload is principally residential and commercial conveyancing and other private client matters, non-contentious commercial and community organization matters. He also retains an interest in employment law.

Bob is a founding partner of the firm. He qualified in 1980, having completed his Articles with the legal department of Hambro Life [now Zurich]. In the early part of his career he worked at The Law Centre. Bob has been an active volunteer at Citizens Advice Bureau and The Law Centre in the past.

He is married with two adult children. Bob’s leisure interests include football [six-a-side being his limit these days] and mountaineering. He has climbed extensively in the Andes and Himalayas [but not at the same time!]. He has a good sense of humour and will always try to put clients at ease in his working relationship with them.

In the mid 1980's just after the practice had commenced, Bob and his then partners found themselves as duty solicitors dealing with upwards of 40 clients on one day as a result of the disturbances at Stonehenge in what became known as the "Battle of the Beanfield". Bob no longer practises this area of law but this has not stopped him from attending festivals!
